Our last cab ride

hands

Our last cab ride
was ten minutes long
and an eternity too short

I held the hand
that caressed my cheeks last night

I held your unbreaking gaze
and you held mine
losing myself in those kind eyes and that dimpled smile
which had stolen my heart in the gentle rays of daybreak

and so it is

i can’t take my eyes off you

无法入睡

cause i am hanging on every word you say

and so it is

闭上了眼睛

试着不想你

忘了如何让眼泪停止流下

还好没人看见

没人会说话

and so it is

cause if one day you wake up and find that you’re missing me

and your heart starts to wonder where on this earth i could be

that’s alright

alright with me

night wind

yesterday as the blue moon smiled

the sweet wind caressed my hair; and i —

i felt a hole in my heart. and pined

for a shoulder upon which to lie

she whispered into my hostage ear:

surrender thy soul, my lute!

i closed my eyes. for her discordant air

had strung my heart in two

you

are a rock in the wind

your face

chiselled by time

strong

but fucking ancient

your eyes

staring into the tomorrows

brave

with a perpetual sadness

your lips

half open

pensive, pursed:

inviting, tempting possibilities

“you have to be in power to use any kind of ism

dominant versus suppressed

strong versus weak

white versus coloured

“people of colour cannot be racist

“they can only be prejudiced.”
